I have Dishnet and a Panasonic-TH-50PX75U-50-inch-720P-Plasma-HDTV and while I was gne for the weekend, a family member, who shall remain nameless, inadvertantly pressed a wrong button on one of the remotes and now the picture appears to be too large for the screen. I've tried the "aspect"...

superdinoyoshi, if you are trying to take a screen shot off a computer display, there is freeware available called "Snagit" which is a very useful tool when wanting to capture what is being displayed on the computer monitor. You can Google it and download it for free.
Hi Don! I think if I forgot I had a $400 GC the first thing I would buy is a white board and some markers so I could make a note of it and hang the white board in a prominent place like on the inside of the front door. Just kidding! DO you need another subwoofer? how about Cambridge SoundWorks...
Thanks again Don! I'm probably going to get my HDTV for Father's Day and I'll order it at that time, unless they come out with a super-fantastic deal in the mean time. Thanks again!
Thanks for the response Don_T. When you upgraded to HD did they overlook the fact that you were an existing customer to take advantage of the "DEAL" or did you have to go to customer service for additional help? Did you have to sign-up for an extended contract? Any charge for installation? What...
Thanks Robert_J for the response. I needed the input from someone using Directv. Sorry to hear about your trouble with Dish. The only problem I had was a bad software drop which caused the DVR-625 to freeze up requireing a re-boot of the system. Again, thanks for the response!
I am currently a Dish Network subscriber (SD) and my contract is about over. I want to get HD service but thought before I sign any contract, I would ask for the forums' recommendation as to which source, Dish or Direct. Do any of you have any druthers? All your comments would be greatly...
Why would you say "I just want to drive my mom crazy with the whole house shaking because of the music..." when she is making it possible for you to get a new stereo so your "Games" sound better??? "Oh...ok, well it's because I have to use my moms credit card and she is crazy about using her...
Veronica, Welcome to HTF. I'm sure you will be able to get all the help you need right here, but I thought everything in TEXAS was BIG? Could you use a larger font in writing your threads? This is really hard on the eyes. You don't mention room size, or whether you have access to the theater...
I have never heard this name/brand before and was wondering if anyone here has. The deal is on a HANNspree Xv 37 inch Widescreen LCD HDTV - 37” with Tuner - JT02-37U1-000G, for $699 with FREE shipping. It can be seen at BUY.COM, but I was wondering if you thought it might be a good set for the...
I'm looking to purchase a 42" plasma HDTV and wondered about what you felt was the best buy for under $3000. Any thoughts from any of you that may own or have been looking for one? My 35" CRT TV quit last night and I haven't had the time to research much but I know now is the time to get it.
I would be proud to have a HTIB, (Home Theater in Basement) if I had a basement, but some of us aren't that lucky. We may have house payments, putting children through school/college, things like that, might limit us to that $200-$500 system, that gives us the feeling we are in a movie house...
Thanks for responding Jack. The TV is about 10 years old, and NO I haven't tried unplugging the set. I'll give that a try and see what happens.
I know I've gotten my $$ out of it, but I was really curious what this could be caused by. Nobody at work had ever seen anything like it. I was hoping...
My wife called me at work the other day and said the TV has some strange colors on it. When I got home and looked at the picture, she was right. The image was clear and crisp but the colors were all wrong. I then turned on the VCR and selected a channel with NO Signal Input so I knew that it...
The BB in my neighborhood is the same way. If you go there in the evening, be prepared to wait in long lines, if it's a Friday or Saturday, plan on bringing a sleeping bag. I've got a good idea, take along your portable DVD player and watch the movie while you're standing in line. Then just put...
