A review of the JVC XV-S60 dvd player.

To all friends who are reviewing, just want to see if any of you notice what I observed the other day in an electronic store. I meant to check out the Panny rp-56 and in the store I saw the player connected to a Panny 47" 16X9 TV (forgot about the model number). It was one of those weekday...

Best price for RP56 in Canada?

Eastview Electronics - On East of Kenedy South of Steeles. There should be a pizza place next to it. Last time I checked it was CDN$350.00 including tax. Good luck :)

Grab a DVD Player now or wait?

Atho, it is same as buying anything (except for tape recorder which is at the end of the road to deserve any more new product), when you see a new model, there is always bound to be yet another that is better so the waiting game can go forever....going back to your question, my cut at it is that...

Grab a DVD Player now or wait?

Atho, if you are in Toronto (I suppose you are from your profile), you can try the 'Eastview Electronics' either in the 'Jubilee Center' (HWY 7 and West Beaver Creek?) or on Kenedy south of Stelles (in a small plaza on the East side). They have the Penny RP56 for CAD$350.00 including tax.

So when playing in progressive mode, shouldn't the S-video still be deliverinng interlaced signal...

    Stuff happend! Help!!!

Good advise, Guy. And that is why in my sequence of events I removed the front screen first; just to ensure that nothing attached to the back panel before I removed it. And for those who reads this thread, this is for Toshiba TW40X81 only...(possibly applicable for TW??X81)

    Stuff happend! Help!!!

Thanks for everyone's input. I finally took a deep breath and removed the screen from the front. It was way easier than I though. I believe that Guy has a different model than mine as I didn't need to remove the speaker grills and the front panel to remove the screen. I needed to remove 4...

    Stuff happend! Help!!!

There was a moth flew into my TW40X81 from the back of the venting holes. While it 'landed' on the inside of the screen, it left a black spot there (probably droppings). Can anybody out there tell me if there is any way to clean the inside of the screen? Any suggestion will be appreciated...
