I tried following your link to ebay but was unable to see what video switcher you are talking about. I'm going ot be needing one of these soon and am very interested in finding out whats available. Thanks, Dave
I've been using my Disk Doctor with distilled water. Seems to work fine on most. It's funny NetFlix mentions cleaning DVD's. Every disk I've rented from them has been filthy and scratched...some to the point where they won't even play.
I have a drop ceiling in my lower level and am getting buzzes and rattles during intense LF effect scenes. Am wondering whats the best way short of replacing ceiling;) to quiet these annoying noises down ? TIA Dave
Vince, Why don't you scetch what you are thinking of and send me a fax. I think I should be able to help you out. Sounds like 1/4" plywood should do the trick unless you wanted something a little nicer. Let me know Dave
I have been looking for a good subwoofer calibration disc myself. I did a search in the speakers forum for house curve but this is the only thread that showed up. I also tried a google search for Stryker Bass but had no luck there either. Any ideas where I can find this C ? TIA Dave
I have been looking at the Pelican System Selector Pro myself. Has 3 component in and 3 optical audio in.Here's link giving all the info. http://www.consoleaccessories.com/unv004.asp Price isn't all that bad for what you are getting either. :D Dave
I have a JVC XL-R5000 Stand alone CD changer/recorder. And yes, I can listen to the CD while recording to a blank disc. Also since it is a 3 cd changer I can put in three disc's and select which tracks I want to rip to my blank. It has digital in & out. I have my Sony CDP-CX400 mega changer...
Although subs are omni-directional it does matter where you place them to get seamless integration. One proven method is to place the sub where you normally sit and then play a bass heavy cd or dvd and move around the room. As you are moving around the room you will find one spot where the bass...
The sweet spot is 11 feet from the screen and sounds awesome, the overall room size is 13 X 20. My wife would have to agree with this looking like a bachelor pad but she kept telling me "it's your room do what you want" I took her at her word. I like the built in as well....only draw back is I'm...

A little more info on your TV would be helpful. Some TV's have been known to have a problem with Moire (a tiger stripe effect)on horizontal or vertical picture images. I have been a DirecTV user for several years now and am very satisfied with the picture quality (the service and the program...
I don't have the Stressless SOfa's (yet) but I do have two of their leather recliners and they are wonderful. Very nice looking and very functional. I am looking at doing the California LoveSeat and have the 2 recliners flanking it on either side. If you can get them at the $3400.00 price you...
Okay...after a trip to the roof and some basic troubleshooting...found the culprit. The UHF Pre-Amp was fried. Swapped it out and everything is working as advertised. Thnaks for your input. Dave ;)
Well, time to get the ladder out and start checking connections. I re-booted the receiver with no luck so I am assuming that the fault lies in the outdoor connection at some point. I'll let you know how it turns out. Dave
Hello, I've got a Mits WT-46809 with a Mits SR-HD5 Receiver. I have an OTA antenna going to the ANT in on the receiver and am using the SAT in as well, these are connected to the DTV input on back of Mits. Everything was working great. Now I have connected my analog cable feed to the ANT A...
After waiting a week after the release date to receive my copy of The Matrix Reloaded I have decided I need to find a new source. This is the third time now that DVDPlanet has dropped the ball. Three strikes and they are out in my book! Anyone have another srce they can recommend ? TIA...
I have been ordering DVD's from DVDPlanet for years and have ALWAYS had great service. My pre-orders always arrived on the release dates. Sadly this has not been the case for the last few months. Am I the only one not getting my pre-orders ? I have at least a dozen DVD's on pre-order with them...
I just checked the phone settings and there is no problem there. The overlay guide I see while watching live tv does have all the correct information in it. But when I go to TiVo central I only see the showcases no program guide. I will give tivo community a shot. Thanks for your input, Dave
I am a newbie to TiVo so forgive my ignorance;) I have the Toshiba SD-H400 DVD/TiVo player. I have got everything hooked up and am really enjoying the TiVo features (I have not tried the TiVo plus yet, still getting used to the basic). One thing I cannot figure out is when I go to TiVo Central...
Just am wondering if anyone has had a chance to calibrate with the new version yet ? I received mine yesterday but there has been too much going on to really sit down and have a go at it. I'm hoping for some quiet time tonight and will give it a spin and see what I come up with. :D
Well I just returned from a trip to Circuit City (was supposed to pick up CD-R's ONLY)I happened to wander by the DVD Recorders and they had the Phillips as a open box special for $289.00 ! How could I refuse ? One question I have though is on the rear panel there are component in and component...
I have a Mits WT-46809 which I have calibrated the DVD Input using Avia. My question is how do I get the DTV Input calibrated ? Mits does not use a numerical value to show you your color/tint/brightness/contrast settings. So I've tried to set the slider's in the same position. I know this is not...
I am Looking for a HDD Recorder Only (no service agreement) I have found a website called DigitalRecorder.tv and was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them good or bad ? Thanks in advance, Dave:)
Well I was originally thinking of a triangle. But now I'm going to have to consider the quater circle...hhmmnnnn As far as corner location and bass. This is a secondary system in the living room I don't think that is an issue for this system and it's locaation. Thanks for the input:D...
