that's all fine and dandy but the upscaling issue does not address the situation with the black bars on the dashboard or on BD playback. what's funny is they're not happening all the time. Sometimes you see them there sometimes you dont. And it only happens with 1080i and nothing else...
Hi guys, I'm having a weird problem here when I play BD's on the PS3. I have a Hitachi 57" HDTV that goes up to 1080i, no HDMI as it's 3 years old. I've configured my PS3 to 1080i and when I do the dash and bd movies display with black wavy lines throughout the screen. When I...
I primarily use my xbox 360 as my main dvd player even though i have 2 sony players (1 5 disk changer, and 1 single disk). The xbox has a progressive scan dvd player and with my 57" HDTV I have it set up through it's component cables. I see no difference in the quality compared to a stand alone...
Am I the only one who finds this topic..... a bit weird?? If anyone should know days and dates for anything it should be you Ron. And you should definately know by now that Rome wasn't built in a day. I guess all the SW films should've been released at launch with the format too.
The PSP has and will continue to have many firmware upgrades. Does that make it an inferior product? Hardly. Blue Ray Player = $1000-$1800 HD-DVD = $500-$800 Both do the same thing. You figure out which one people will flock to. And dont even get started on the PS3. Nobody is going to...
I'm sorry but I think it's rather foolish to base the sale of Blue Ray to UMD sales. You have to consider that the PSP is a 'portable' medium, and a rather expensive one at that. People bought UMD's because it was the only thing coming out for it at the time. How as more games come out, the UMD...
While I'm a bit disappointed in the news regarding the transfer of the original films it's definatley not the end of the world. How many times did we here Lucas say, "The originals dont exist". George Lucas is probably the only director that considers his work a 'work in progress'. I am old...
I've been reading that the PS3 may actually cost as much as $800. Don't count on it being the one player to bring Blue Ray into homes. This format war can go either way so I'm not going to rule out HD-DVD just yet.
GooGone doesnt always work. It can leave streaks and smudges behind where the sticker was. It can also make the clear plastic look cloudy where you put it.
Now that these are starting to be released on DVD I was wondering if I could get some help. There is an episode where a blind karate instructor is teaching 2 adult students karate and they try to attack him. He beats them in a way only the Wayans brothers could. Do any of you know the name of...
Nice reads.
I have a collection over 600, been collecting since the advent of DVD and have had no problems whatsoever. I heard that there is no such thing as DVD rot, but if you guys are experiencing problems then it's pretty legit for you.
Like others have said, if I like the movie and the re-release is worth the upgrade then I'll buy it again. I don't plan on repurchasing the mega deluxe edition of Bulletproof Monk or The Rundown anytime soon though.
Can you believe the initial DVD of this film was $27.99 when it came out?? Get it at CE at Circuit City for $8.99 this week. Great film BTW, thanks for the review. John
I normally hang out in the DVD/movie section of this forum but occasionally I'll scan around various topics. I do have a simple question though. I recently bought a new 5.1 surround sound system w/ receiver. I was wondering if the rear speaker are suppose to have less volume than the front...

Simply stated, the committee rejected her application to go into the machine the first time because she had no faith in God and wanted proof. Then after she goes they reject her again by stating since she has no proof she's obviously making it up. What a bunch of god damn...
