Thanks! I have always loved the Hyacinth and the Moullaccan myself. If I didn't have a B&G I would get a Cockatoo in a heartbeat. I can't believe how expensive Hyacinth's are though. Pretty bird but I think a Scarlet or Greenwing is much prettier due to the rainbow of colors.

You can turn the Prog on and off from the remote. You have to hit display and then select the Video menu. It will show 480P which you can toggle the value to 480i. Not a simple on/off but works well.

Another big thumbs of for the CP72. Got mine about 1.5 weeks ago and I am very impresses witht the Progress scan output and the MP3/WMA feature is awesome. The 5 disc changer made it a no brainer for 229.00. The picture output is significantly better then the JVC XVD-723GD that it replaced.

Congrats on the great deal. I just picked up a the CP72 as well last week and I am very happy with it. My JVC XVD-723GD died on me last week and it just wasn't worth paying for to get it fixed. The Panny has a better picture and although I too wanted black, it is a great buy!

Glad that I was on the right track afterall. I really enjoy Ultra 2. The rear surrounds are very active in this mode much more then I was use to hearing in THX-EX.

I asked this question a few weeks ago. From playing with a few DVD's I really like the Ultra 2 mode. As far as THX-EX Vs DD-EX. I think they are essentially the same thing minus the THX re-eq and other THX functions. Can anyone confirm?
