I was not disappointed; it was as bad as I had expected. Having said that, it was also vapid and silly. But to avoid sounding too harsh, it was a total waste of my time. Fortunately, however, it was unable to diminish at all my absolute love for the first two films in the Alien series, nor my...
Paymer seems to have nailed the role so far. I have high hopes for the series if this first episode is any indication. No, I'm not that David Paymer. ;)
Well, I didn't get it for free like some lucky folks ( ;) ) but I picked up my copy during lunch today at The Wiz for 12.98. Looking forward to viewing it on the weekend.
I have to agree with you on the swear words every second, it got tedious. The "F" word must have been used 200 times at least. The show has potential and I'll give it another chance next week but they have got to work on the language and make the cops a little more interesting. The drug dealers...
Triumph is one funny canine! I heard he said of the Star Wars fans, "It's great to see these people apply the same level of dedication to Star Wars that they do to maintaining their virginity."
:D
Just wanted to say that it was a great season finale and I look forward to the conclusion. I'd also like to say that the character of Jack Bristoe is one cold mutha. He's a pleasure to watch.

I thought that Burt was playing G-d.:D
Weird episode, liked it. Kind of Lynch-ish. I agree with you, Patrick, good delivery of the snappy dialogue by all but Doggett. I was initially turned off by the odd music but after a while, it began to appeal to me and fit perfectly with this odd episode...
Nothing bland about Denzel, especially in Training Day. Damn, that was good. He has been in some pretty bland flicks (the ones Ron listed) but Malcolm X, Glory and A Soldier's Story are standouts. When he's challenged, the man wakes up on camera, as he did in Training Day. Glad I purchased this...
As I said in another thread, I couldn't watch the 9/11 film because the memory of it is still too fresh. I lost two friends that day. Living in NYC all my life has made me kinda tough but I'm not tough enough to deal with seeing images of that day for two hours. Sometimes my emotions get the...
Memories of that day are still too fresh for me (lost two friends) so I couldn't watch it but I taped it. Maybe in a few months I'll take a look at it. I'm glad to hear it was done tastefully.
Interesting film. Not too thrilled with the disk, however. Anyway, I watched it again last night and I must say I think it should have ended with David sitting in the submergible praying to the blue fairy.
The rest was syrupy, mauldlin and a bit creepy. To me, David's "love" for Monica seemed...
I'm still amazed that the 130 pound guy could eat 55 brains and live. He had an interesting technique though; he "swallowed" the food much like a dog or wolf while his fellow gluttons "ate" their food.
About the bull testicles: the hosts kept referring to them as Rocky Mountain "Oysters" which...
I tried to turn the channel to watch the Olympics, I really tried, but watching those people on Fox try to eat several pounds of eggs, hot dogs and bull testicles was too compelling. Anyone else catch this show last night?
I recently caught the episode of ST:TNG (on TNN) where he guest-starred and I enjoyed seeing him again. Here's hoping he gets well soon. :emoji_thumbsup:
I saw the advert, it was pretty funny. I fondly remember watching the duo as a kid in the seventies and I too wasn't aware at the time that it had a religious theme. They were nice little morality plays (don't lie, don't steal, don't hurt others) and not a bad thing to teach the kiddies.
Yeah, I found out about his death yesterday morning and couldn't believe it. I knew he had been injured but had no idea that those injuries were life-threatening. Only 38 years old. Damn.
Gotta say I laughed more than usual during last night's episode. The line you quoted had me laughing out.
Um...hey, anybody else notice the relationship between Lenny and Carl is taking on a special tone lately? Not that there's anything wrong with that.
