Well for one Sears is a big rip off, try using there price match. Circuit City will match Sears price & give you 110% of the difference back. Circuit City can be a pain to but you can get it. I got a Zenith C34W23 for $1798 with a price match.

Reason I thought the Z View might be SVM toggle switch was in the test of it in Home Theater magazine they said that SVM was deafeatable in the user menu, I emailed them about it & they said theirs had it unless they confused it with the Z View.

I have adjusted the picture 58 brightness, 35 contrast, 20 sharpness. When I toggle the Z Picture to on the picture gets softer & slighter darker then with it off. Considering I have the settings low it should do the opposite.

How about turning off the SVM on the Zenith C34W23. Set has a "Z Picture" on/off switch but don't know if that is it. Also does not have 3:2 pulldown, is that really a disadvantage.

Does the DVI dilemna also have to do with future satellite as well as cable. If so what happens to the sets we bought without it, no HBO or SHO?????

For home theater I just replaced my B&K Ref 20 with an Outlaw 950 & could not be more happier. The B&K was more laid back & can hear slight sounds in movies with the Outlaw that was not present with the B&K. I am using an ATI 1505 with Klipsch Ref 20's C-7 & C-6 surronds.

I bought the Monster sub woofer cable & it has a "Y" connection at the subwoofer end.

I have the B&K Ref 20 & I see by the specs posted here the new 50 will weigh in at 10 lbs. around same as my 20. Just curious how come B&K's weigh about 1/2 the other pre pros out there.

I recently got the WS55411, they charged me $100 over the 311. I got it fpr $2278. It has a 5 element lense instead of the 4 in the 311. Also 6" speakers compared to 5". Some othe goodies including quad focus.

My B&K Ref 20 needed a firmware update, had the connector on the back of it but no one but B&K had the equipment to do it so it had to go back to them anyway.

I replaced by B&K Ref 20 with the Outlaw 950 & could not be happier. I can hear things on soundtracks I missed on the B&K. The B&K upgrade is more hype then real. To upgrade the 20 to 30 you get the guts but no THX & some other things missing for $900, $1 more then the Outlaw just to upgrade...

I bought the WS55411 last week & could not be happier. I paid $100 over the price of the 311. I got it for $2278 which I hope was a good deal. The differences I noticed was slightly bigger speakers, 5 element lens instead of 4 & the Quad focus thing.

Setting up my subwoofer, I noticed that the Monster subwoofer cable has a connection to plug into both red & white connectors. The manual of the sub says that if pre amp has only one output use the white one of sub. Should I use the adapter that comes with it & connect into both.

Take a look at the Outlaw 950, I just replaced my B&K Ref 20 with it for movies with my Mitsubishi HDTV & dvd's. I like the sound better with the Outlaw then the B&K. I hear slight sounds I missed with the Ref 20.

I had the B&K Ref 20 & replaced it with the Sony TAE-9000ES. The Sony had much more detail then the B&K. Not knocking the B&K but for what it costs it is not giving its money worth.

Have the Sony pre amp TAE-9000ES, on the waiting list for the Outlaw 950. Just got the email & ordered it. Now I have to decide which unit I will keep in my main home theater setup & the other in my 2nd set up. Any advice on which you would use.

The way my WS55411 was delivered Saturday was had it on a dolly wheels down, he strapped it in that took it into the house on its side. So far so good, now I lowered the contrast to about 25% & brightness to about %40, 0 on the sharpness. Looks like a movie now.
