Wife finally teased you one too many times about that SACD eh? Ha, ha, ha. >>>no offense to any Celine Dion fans, I've actually heard his wife tease him about this disk
*WTB: Scrooge WS LD (1970) - Albert Finney* I've been looking for this for a while and just got "sniped" on 2 ebay auctions. :) You can find the full-screen version frequently, but the WS is a little hard to locate. Help pleeze...
Ha, ha, ha! That's great! You ought to see the video that went along with it. It is really cool, too. Maybe I'll capture it and post it next. Ha! Happy New Year everybody!
I am starting to think this may just be something done especially for this TCM promo. It had a very high production value including the video for just a promotional ad. I am on sort of a mission to compile some unique Christmas songs, so when I came across this clip it became a part of my...
Thanks for your efforts Mike. I am looking at this as somewhat of a challenge myself and have a message at another forum as well. Someone over there mentioned The Drifters, too, so that could be on the right track. I'm still searching around and will let you know if I turn up anything.
Here is the text from my other thread: Hi all and Happy Holidays! I recorded The Bells of Saint Mary's with my Tivo over the Christmas Holiday off of TCM and at the end of the movie there was a little song and promotional video by TCM in which they played this 50's sounding song. I would...
Well, I have another thread where I am asking for help with a Christmas song that I caught with Tivo while recording a show on TCM. Here is the clip of the song I recorded.

It's not "Happy Holidays". I have that CD (one of my favorites). I've never heard this song before and it sounded great, what little I got to hear of it. I'm sort of compiling a lot of Christmas songs into a collection and I am making an effort to collect any unique ones I come across. I am on a...
Hi all and Happy Holidays! I recorded The Bells of Saint Mary's with my Tivo over the Christmas Holiday off of TCM and at the end of the movie there was a little song and promotional video by TCM in which they played this 50's sounding song. I would love to know the title of this song if...
Okay, this may be a very silly question. I am actually posting it for a friend of mine. I like the movie Tombstone, but don't own it yet (I have plans to buy the new DVD soon), but I don't remember the "train number" at all. My friend is a big fan of the movie and a big music fan and he wondered...
I'm not sure but I think Paramount owns the rights to this film. I would love to see it come to DVD. If anyone else shares a love for this film and would like to see it on DVD, please voice your opinion.

If you are really going to spend $1800 on speakers I suggest you take your favorite Pink Floyd and Zepplin software out to some audio shops and listen to speakers for yourself. I would hate to spend $1800 on speakers that were suggested here and find out I didn't like them. $1800 is a pretty...
You do realize that this is a learning remote, don't you? You could just learn the functions you need onto the remote. If that doesn't work for you, I suggest you expand your horizons and build a JP1 cable. You can do it with a little effort. Either that or expand your wallet and get a MX-500...
...another vote for the MX-500. The Radio Shack and OFA remotes are the best if you are going with a cheap solution, MX-500 for a more advanced hard button remote, and the Pronto if you are a fan of touchscreens.
I just wanted to add that I also have an AT&T Tivo and it works great. I am not an AT&T customer. Owning one of these is no different than owning a Philips or Sony branded box. It's just a name on the box, nothing more or less.
I wouldn't buy anything but a new Series 2 SA unit if I was buying...
...it probably doesn't matter much what I wish for. I think the days of us (early adopters) being a major influence on these decisions are coming to an end. We will all probably just be spectators here while the majors (studios, Wal-Marts, Blockbusters) play this out. We will probably have to...
Get a Tivo. I just got one a few weeks ago and it ranks up there with the DVD player in the coolness factor. If you got the cash, you won't regret it...
