I will be building a sonosub with the same components. I'm just curious if you mounted the Amp to the sub and how you did it. I've been contemplating mounting a box to the side of the sonotube so I dont have to cut into it.

I guess I would fall somewhere in the middle if that's possible. I don't really crank up the volume to reference levels anyway, so I I don't want anything "boomy". I will be upgrading from a JBL PSB-10 which sounded ok, until the amp went out. Thanks

Now that the Stryke AV-12 and 15 are going through another pre-order, I am thinking that I should but one of them for my sonosub. I will most likely be moving soon so don't have any idea on room dimensions or anything. Anyone have suggestions on which driver to get? Thanks Fred

I will be in for one of the drivers, just not sure which one yet, for a future sonosub project. And the time frame withthe 10 week lead time will actually work out better for me as I won't be building for a little while.

My Sub is a JBL DPS10 which is a few yrs old. I've checked the connections and they seem to be secure. I did more testing to get a better description of the problem. I will try that but the static is intermittent and happens whether there is a signal going to the sub or not.

I did something stupid, and plugged in an audio cable on my dvd player with the receiver and sub on and now get intermittent static when the sub is turned on. I don't know very much about the actual workings of something like this so I just wanted to solicit some opinions on what might be wrong...
