Greetings,
I'm looking for a Lion King LD boxed set in good condition. Send your offer to [email protected]. Also, I'm looking for a good RF demod. Thanks much!

Greetings,
As you can see, I have a simple question about this receiver. I have not been able to see on the Marantz website (which is horrible by the way) if the SR-7200 has preamp outputs for all channels. I have searched and searched, but probably not in the right places. I would assume...
Thanks for the replies thus far. Application is both HT and music. My main speakers are the Ascend Acoustics CBM-170 (smallish two way bookshelf monitors). How will the SR7200 handle these? Nominally rated at 4 ohms, but I'm not sure what they drop down to.
Thanks!
Here's a description taken from NEC:
NEC's little 3.3 lb. LT150 projector, with XGA computer resolution (1024x768), was designed for the corporate presenter but has become the projector of choice for many home theater enthusiasts for its good color saturation, and high contrast that produces...
Greetings,
I am selling this projector because I have setup issues with my room (zoom is necessary). Projector is in absolute mint condition with ~1 hour on the bulb (needed to see it for myself). All cables/accessories included. Asking $2200 plus shipping from 24060. Thanks!
For clarification, I am interested in TVs that can do anamorphic squeeze in ANY way, shape, or form, whether through service menus or otherwise. Are all of JVCs 36" TVs capable of this? Are any of them recommended?
Thanks!
Greetings,
I'm in the process of scouting for a new 36" TV and would like to know what models allow for anamorphic squeeze. I know that the Wegas allow this, but do others, like JVC, Toshiba, and Panasonic? Thanks!
Did you happen to order black ceramic? I spoke with Namphung (via e-mail) and she told me that they were having trouble with the kiln. Also, she said they were having "quality control issues" with the black ceramic color. Still not fixed? I wonder how long it will be?
Could you possibly post the text of the review here for those of us who can't access the review due to web restrictions beyond our control? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
I see that the 36" FS series Wega start at ~$1100 while the FV series start at ~$1500. What are the differences between the two? The only differences I can see (from the online specs) is more audio "quality" and more inputs. Is there anything else I'm missing?
Greetings,
I'm going to be purchasing a 36" Wega soon and was wondering if anyone has information regarding the best place to buy. I was planning on going to Sears and using a Sears card to get 10% off. Anybody know of a place with a really low price so I can use a price match as well...
How would you say these compare to nOrh? The race seems to be pretty even between HTD, nOrh, and Ascend Acoustics for me. Can anybody point out any benefits one of these rigs has over the others?
Thanks!
You might want to try hooking up some curtains controlled by motors mounted to the top of the rack. Then, you could just use a Pronto macro and, voila, the curtains rise and there's the equipment. Just a thought... :)
Mike,
I just finished the same rack using 3/4" MDF. The completed unit has 4 shelves and does function very well considering the ease of construction. I do recommend, however, finding some way to put "feet" on the bottoms of the threaded rods, as these can exert a large amount of force on...
I did compare both TVs. I agree, the Wega does produce a nicer picture, but since I'll be purchasing a projector in ~1 year and relegating this TV to bedroom duty, I don't see it as that much of an issue. The Wega does definitely produce a nicer picture than the Toshiba, though.
Touche, I take your points as valid, Jaroslav. It just seems interesting to me that all of this "price dodging" is valid. Seems like somewhere along the line someone should be accountable. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. I've moved my focus now from the Wegas to the Tosh 36A40...
Update:
Called Sony's number and talked to a bunch of people. Basically, they say that their legal mumbo jumbo attached to the page absolves them of all responsibility. So, basically, they aren't willing to admit a mistake or pay for it. Is there anything I can do about this? I'm going to...
I just wrote their online tech support and told them that their website was not price-matchable by Sears. I asked them why this was so. Depending on what they say I'll either have a new TV or I'll bluff legal action...we'll see.
I just tried to get a price match on this from Sears, and after calling Sony and being on the phone for nearly 30 minutes, Sears told me they cannot price match it because it is not able to be purchased from the website!
Looks like I'm taking this one up with Sony!
Greetings,
I am having a bit of trouble deciding which upgrade route to take in regards to my video display. I currently have a 19" Magnavox tv (yuck!) and it desperately needs replacement. Also, I will ultimately get a projector for my HT, but that's at least 3 years down the road. My...
