i own the oppo 981 and love it on the 72" big screen. I don't own the ps3 so unfortunately I can't give you my opinion on that, but for $200, it's nice to have a separate dvd only player.

I was just in Radio Shack today and saw exactly what you are looking for. They had about 100 boxes of these DVD adapters on the shelf. Didn't see the price, however it looked pretty cool. It had a coaxial, s-video and composite connections. Good luck! Brad
