Surprise: Manny goes Hollywood ! Surprise! Manny to LA, Bay to Boston | MLB.com: News The NL Worst suddently got better... The Dodgers acquires Manny just in time for their NL West showdown with the 'Backs
Agreed, one of the best ST eps ever ! I also remember an eps set in the future (well, relative to STV) about a Mausoleum for the victims of Voyager's WarCrimes commited against them... That's one of the few eps I actually remember, that speaks volumes about my appreciation for the show...
Gusty (or rather stupid I'd say) call by Oregon St. coach yesterday in the Sun Bowl: with his team just scoring a TD to come within one of Missouri with 0:22 left in the 4th, he chooses to go for a 2-points conversion try... RB Bernard barely made it, winning it for the Beavers...
In 2004-2006: 76 games pitched, 38 CG game for Matsuzaka. In 2005: 28 GP, 15CG and 3433 pitches thrown: that's 122+ pitches/GP... From http://www.japanbaseballdaily.com/Pi...ikoshiba.html: Under manager Osamu Higashio, there was concern that Higashio, who was an iron armed pitcher with the...
I agree with you. The "argument" was that throwing 150+ pitch in a game isn't that big a deal since many pitchers used to throw that many pitches... My point is that it's wasn't a "big" deal for a 40's, or a 60's pitchers but it is now because the game changed... It's not because Koufax threw...
I don't buy the theory that current pitchers are "wimps"... Today's lineups are much more "tough" than the "good old days" lineups. And all games were played on the East Coast, no long travels for the players... And a reservoir of "only" 100M people to choose the best players from ((probably...
I don't really follow japanese leagues closely, but I think the managers have the bad habits of overusing pitchers (often having them throw 150+ pitches ). Considering that that guy once threw 250 (two hundred and fifty!!!) pitches in a (college) game doesn't look good in the long term IMHO
How is it possible to single in a double play at the plate ? This is how: Top 2ND B:2 S:2 O:0 Jeff Kent singles on a line drive to center fielder Carlos Beltran. Top 2ND B:2 S:2 O:0 J. D. Drew singles on a soft ground ball to pitcher John Maine. Jeff Kent to 2nd. Top 2ND B:2 S:1...
Poor refering indeed, in addation, 3-4 thrown flags were "taken back". And I do hope that the guy who intentionally twisted Breaston's ankle when he was down after a return will be suspended !
If you don't mind R2 UK DVD: £130 for a boxset containing the 5 seasons + 3 movies + Crusade: http://www.choicesdirect.com/templat...uctGuid=668563 http://www.choicesdirect.com/searchr...PageMenuGuid=1
I had the privilege to talk to him for a few minutes during a B5 convention. He was very humble, kind and told many funny stories. A true gentleman... He transformed G'Kar into such a powerfull and ungorgiveable TV character... He will be missed ! :frowning:
http://www.snopes.com/legal/postmark.asp and: http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-general.html#what I’ve heard about a “poor man’s copyright.” What is it? The practice of sending a copy of your own work to yourself is sometimes called a “poor man’s copyright.” There is no provision in...
I think that in the studio's mind, it is unconceivable to buy a serie without having seen it first on TV. Same for movies, if you buy the DVD it's because you liked the movie when it played in the theater... Stupid I know... Since here in Belgium, a majority of shows are dubbed ( )...
You may wanna try www.dvdzone2.com It's a Belgian site, but 95% of "belgian" DVD are in fact "french" DVD. That's my main supplier for R2 DVD (I bought 350+ DVD from them)
Replace "all" by "almost all" and I completly agree ! Band of Brothers and From the Earth to the Moon sold at the right price (of course the lower, the better). Maybe because they are mini-series and not multi-season series, I'm ready to pay more than for a "regular" series... €70 ($84...
A complete X-Files box set will be released in France in November. The price? €229 (around $270) !!! Complete Buffy? €129 (around $160) :emoji_thumbsup:
Some yes: 24 (*I think*) Friends Ally McBeal Buffy Angel West Wing Some no: The Simpsons Alias X-Files The reason is probably "local": For example, 24 S3 was just released in R2 France (24 S4 is about to be released in R2 UK)
I really like Seinfeld (one of my fav' show ever!), but I'm not sure that the appeal will last longer than Bewitched's... I'm not sure even that Seinfeld will stand the test of time... I don't think Seinfeld will be "discovered" by each new generation...
We have ID cards in Belgium, France also has ID card, I think the anti-ID are more Anglo-Saxons than "Westerners"... Most of Europe has some sort of an ID card... It isn't seen at all as an intrusion in our personnal lives...
