It's nice to see that Sony hasn't totally abandoned the home MD market in the U.S., but omitting a digital output? C'mon. I often record from LP to MD, edit the MD to get the track marks just right, and go from MD to CD digitally. I couldn't do that with this unit! And, if there's one thing...

Aaron- With the Sony remotes, I was never fond of the clumsy way in which you had to scroll through the list of CD titles in order to access the disc you wanted. With the Pronto/SuperNudelist you're given a alphabetic keypad and you touch the first letter of the disc you want and you're taken...

Kimo- The 'DA4ES is definitely two-way capable; it works fine with my TP-RM501 (from an old 'DA50ES). I'm not sure what features you're interested in using via the two-way remote, but if it's to control a megachanger, you're much better off using a Philips Pronto (I know, you've heard that...

Mark, There's an Analog Direct mode on the 'DA4ES that works for all sources provided you have an analog connection. If you don't, you won't hear anything. The two channel mode that Seth referred to is different; that mode will downmix 5.1 mixes to two channel, among other things.

Yep, I have the exact same problem with my SAT-A4. Plus, I've noticed that the DD audio will drop out for just an instant (my receiver flashes as if it's locking on to the signal) from time to time. I vaguely remember reading that this was a common problem, but I might be mistaken.
