Fugirana is more or less how you would do your name phonetically, explaining how it is pronounced (you often can't tell how a Japanese name is pronounced from the 'spelling'). Just to put your given name there again works well. Anyway, the short version of how to order on the...
I would be very surprized if this wasn't identical to the feature disc on the previous release, only loosing the extra's-disc. That's the way it normally is with the 2-disc L.E.'s > 1-disc releases in Japan.
No, it's not. It's dual layer, 6.41GB to be exact (still, less than the Japanese release at 7.16GB). The Japanese release still looks the best of the three I have, though (EDCO R3HK, Japanese Ltd Box set, R3K Ultimate Edition). Screencaps at my webspace. Please note that some images could be...
As James Reader wrote, the French docu has English subtitles, and the subtitles on the English docu are not forced. To see pics of how the set looks, see this part of my webspace.
It's been released by Panorama in the US as well, probably the same transfer as the HK, which I find serviceable (but I would love a better release). The HK relese is non-anamorphic widescreen.
AFAIK, Kill Bill Vol1 was shown in all color only in Japan and Hong Kong in cinemas (maybe some other Asian countries ass well; There are some I haven't heard much about when it comes to cinemas), and has so far been released on dvd in all color only in Japan (the HK dvd goes B&W like the R1)...
Both the disc itself and shipping is less expensive at amazonJP (it normally is), and if you look around, there's a Y500off-coupon available for first time customers (valid until the end of the month, I think). The Aliens set is on 'Usually ships in 24h' at the moment, so I would imagine it's...
Not sure about the Ring set (Korean?), but the Neverending Story is German, and can be bought at places like Amazon.de ; You can use your details from any other Amazon(.com .ca, co.uk, .fr, bot not co.jp) to log on, and you'll find your account there (provided you have one). If you need help...
The extended cut was shown in China, and is legally available on the Chinese EDV format (no English subtitles). It's one of the titles you get with the Shinco EDV-8830 player.
I believe Zailor.no carry his cds, and will ship overseas. There's a button for helping English speaking customers on the left, and a box to check when you set up an account to make shipping adresses abroad possible. I've never used them, so I can't vouch for them.
Probably my Japanese Ghibli/Miyazaki LE's: Nausicaa Of the Valley Of Wind, Laputa: Castle In the Sky, and Sen to Chihiro/Spirited Away dvd-player LE, all viewable in the Ghibli link in my signature.
Akers Mic is now bankrupt, as of the beginning of this week. Thomas Dybdahl is from Norway, afaik his releases so far are: Stray Dogs, ...That Great October Sound, and John Wayne EP, as well as the That Great October DVD.
The version with the cover listed above is afaik limited, and I'm reasonably certain the version with the short film on a separate dvd sold at Fnac is an exclusive, and limited.
If you buy the R2French Les Triplettes LE from Fnac, you'll have the added bonus of Chomets previous short 'La Vieille dame et les pigeons' (The Old Lady and the Pigeons; approx 25 minutes, and very good. No English subs, but not really needed), I believe exclusive to the LE at Fnac.
From reviews on various boards, the R3HK release is non-anamorphic, while the R3Korean is a straight port of the Japanese release with added Korean subs.
I must say I find it more than a bit ironic that people in Communist China are the only ones who are able to see the complete film, as it was originally made (the directors cut, if you will), legally, with free.world, capitalist Miramax/Disney blocking cinema/festival screenings as well as home...
