I have a Sony 32" CRT, and watching 2.35 wide screen is not a pleasant experiance on it. So much so that I'm looking for a wide screen. It's interesting that a 34" wide screen is 1/3 smaller for 4:3 but is 1/3 larger for all of the wide screen modes.

David, The 24TX remote only has 2X pre-programmed for the Sony DVD players. I programmed the slow and fast functions onto four of the number keys and it works better than either the 530 or 550 remote. The 530 remote doesn't have 2X and the 550 remote's jog wheel control of scanning is truly...

Anyone, What is the default setting for "Bass Peak Level". Somehow I changed this setting, and I was getting a very low level of output to the subwoofer. I changed it to +12 and it seems to sound OK now. But what should it be set to? Fred

David S, One other thing: you keep refering to a three-year warranty. The warranty information that cam with my 24TX states that the warranty is for only two years. Perhaps there is a different warranty in Canada? Fred
