I saw the new Epson 3d projector out at Best Buy and it has been selling for around $1500. Looks really nice, but some reports of gaming lag has put me off it a bit. The new Optoma DLP 3d just came out as well.

If you are looking for LCD, the Epson 8350 is usually around $1200 at Best Buy, I have the 6100 and it's terrific.

Yes, so far the new bulb seems to be working fine, with about 250-300 hours so far. I didn't have any service lights blinking during the blackout problem either, the projector itself was running as if everything was normal.

I have the HD72 and it looks better on my 92" screen than any flat panel or rear projection set I've seen yet. It has DVI and HDMI digital inputs, plus component, S-Video, and composite inputs. It's terrifically bright, with good blacks and great colors. Don't forget the screen is important too...

I've been using a Greywolf II screen for about 4 months, so far I really like it. Good colors and black levels, and I only paid $150 for a 92" pulldown. Best Buy wants $2500 for their Stewart screens, and my setup looks way better than anything I've seen demo'ed in a store.
