(jumping in from my own BB Mitsu thread) So what's the deal with the color shield? Is it just a gimmick or not? And do we have a list of which features are at least accessible through the service menus, and which ones are completely absent?
I saw a Mitsubishi WT-A42 at Best Buy today, and was impressed with it's small size. I've done a couple of searches here and there, but I can't seem to find much information about this model at all, other than it's a Best Buy "exclusive", and is missing a couple of features from the Mitsu...
I've decided it's time to upgrade my five year old 27" set to something better. Widescreen and HDTV is a must... my question at this point is RPTV or not RPTV? There's a couple of issues I don't see addressed here often (or at all)... 1) How much ambient light is too much for an RPTV? I don't...
I realize I'm asking a pretty newbie question considering my time here, but what exactly would be the disadvantage to not having 3:2 pulldown? I'd really like to get the 96, but without 3:2 pulldown on the set, what am I missing? (note that I'm currently only using a non-progressive DVD player)...
I saw one of these bad boys in the latest Crutchfield, and it seems to be the DVD megachanger I've been looking for. Does anyone have any experience with one of these?

Well, this is a subjective "what is art?" response, but I tend to view your average television program as throwaway entertainment. There are some exceptions, but movies seem to be more artistically valid than TV shows on the whole. That's why I probably wouldn't think twice about...
Let's put it this way - my sister (who is in the prime demographic for this movie) thought it was sucktacular.

As with the others here, seeing Song of the South as a child, and reading the corresponding books as well, any and all racial epithets were completely lost on me... and I grew up in the south, of all places.

Ah - I feel quite sane in comparison :) I've been collecting DVDs for 3+ years, but currently only own about 130. I have sold a lot as well - I periodically take stock, and anything that I haven't watched, or am not particularly thrilled with gets half.com'ed.
