I am looking for a new tv. 48" or 50". It would be for watching movies and sports. I do not game. Flesh tones and natural looking colors are very important. I looked at an LG 43" 1080p, vizio 48" 1080p. The yellows on both were harsh to look at flourescent colors on steroids, oranges and...
A friend asked if I wanted her used LD player. The just got a DVD player and no longer wanted the LD player. I told her I would take it so it wouldn't go to "Good Will". She would have no use for her LDs so she said I could have them. She just gave them to me today. Boy was I surprised. She...
My local news (KRON 4) just had a story about a class action law suit that was settled in 41 States' against the music industry for alleged price fixing. Per the story, there is a website for potential claiming of one's appropriate share of 44 million settlement. In order to see if you are...
Hi Richard,
Here's a useful glossary of terms @ www.jbl.com :

There is also a Home Audio FAQ @ www.klipsch.com that you may find useful.
There are definitely more qualified people here to answer your questions, but from what your...
If you're a Sun Records fan, Tower has some imported 3-CD sets $11.99: "The Legendary Sun Records Story" "The Legendary Sun Records Story Vol.2" These are original artists/recordings. There are 20 songs per CD. The sound quality seems good. The Manufacturer is: Sanctuary...
Jerry,
The JBL N28 (2-Way/8" Woofer) is a bookshelf size speaker. I own them (as well as an NSP1 and set of N38s) and am very pleased with them (all). Most people agree that JBLs are very good speakers for the money.
If you are just going to use them for HT, the NSP1 (4: N24s/1: N-Center) w/...
Are you sure it's the subwoofer and not your receiver? If you unplug the receiver or disconnect the line(s) from the receiver, does it remedy the problem?
Sorry, Wil, but I have never used or seen them before. I made a purchase at HypAudio, recently and noticed the stands. I would think that when they engineered, that stability would have been a consideration. I would imagine it knocked, they would just wobble (webbles wobble but they don't fall...
Wil,
If you are looking for the JBL N26 stands, you can purchase them a Link Removed for $99.

Shawn,
Which JBL speakers are you looking for?
I noticed you posted a thread regarding the JBL PowerBass 12. You can purchase this model for $230 + shipping (should be no more than $10) @ Link Removed .
As for as speakers, it really depends on which models your interested in. I went with...
Brady, It is the Raven. It is rather large (Matinee Sign!). Advise unrolling it on a table (or something flat/firm), because the stock paper is thin and crinkles easily. Nice though.
"Good Vibrations" The Beach Boys (Also Love "Sloop John B." and "When I Grow Up (To be a Man)") "Strawberry Fields Forever" The Beatles (Also like "Penny Lane"). Listening to the Velvet Underground's "Pale Blue Eyes", though.
Tony, It was shipped in a long triangular tube(?) w/ three slots to hold together (rubberband around the poster). Very sturdy (had a hard time opening the thing).
I just wanted to Thank MGM 'Midnight Movies' for the free poster I received, today.
Thanks MGM!
Val
P.S. For those wondering what I am talking about, see Ben Motley's thread:

I have JBL N38s (3-Way/8" Tower) and N28s (2-Way/8" Bookshelf?). I find the the N38/N28s to be complimentary to each other. The N38s are more detailed, but the N28s definitely add more to the bottom end. They definitely sound better together, than apart.
I have watched more baseball this weekend then I have in the last 10 years put together. Looks like I will be watching at least 4 more games. Go Angels. Valerie
Hi Jeff,
I use Caig's ProGold G5 and it works very well and is safe for plastics (and the enviroment :) ) Here's an article from Caig
online regarding the ProGold line. It's a field test written by a gentleman from "Mix Magazine".

I should have asked this question before... What's a BFD? I've come across this in other threads and couldn't figure it out. Some sort of equalizer?! As far as DIY, I would probably pass on that for now. I am not looking for something "bone-crushing", as I live in a condo and have to be...
I am thinking about getting a JBL PB12, to go with some JBL Northridge series speakers I purchased. Just curious if this is a good sub for $300 (give or take). Also, is there a big difference in sound between 10 and 12 inch subs? Was considering the PB10, but for an extra $60, I can go...
