Digital Eyes listed 2 different Pearl Harbor DVDs at the same price due to street on 2nd. July 2002... Anyone has idea what is the difference between the 2? ================================================== ========= Pearl Harbor (Vista 3-Disc Set) $39.98 $27.99 07/02/02 Pearl...
I do not have the normal Audio CD version, only the XRCD and SACD, in my opinion, the SACD is obviously better, considering it is a multi-channel recording..
In my opinion, Lush Life is one of the most realistic recording I heard in the SACD format, she sounded like she was right in front, singing. yes it is much better than the already excellent XRCD2. When I first tried out SACD, my first few SACD sounded disappointing and I concentrated on...
If anyone can do a favour and pick up a copy for me, I will pay for the cost, postage and a token transport cost of US$10.- Thanks in advance... let me know.
I second the concensus here, go for the software and the best choice is to buy a universal player to enjoy both formats, which are superior to Audio CD. Personally, using the same equipments, I would say DVD Audio has much better dynamics and has more details while SACD makes it sound warmer...
I own the Asian version of 47A (DV-S733A) and I was assured by Pioneer (Singapore rep) that once the data are read, the signals from all formats pass through the same electronics, and hence fair to both DVD-A and SACD.
Granted 47A cannot reach the playback quality of the best high end DVD...
The person who started the rumour is being naughty. Bob Stuart has on several occassions stated that he will finally make a player that can be upgraded to play ALL formats!
I hope this thread will not turn into normal versus Superbit again.
Yes, I see very obvious (not stunning) improvements of superbit titles over normal version in all titles.
Personally, I think Vertical Limit is the best DVDs to show off the superiority of Superbit.
I respect all the people here, and I think all of them have the rights to their own personal opinions, but in the Vertical Limit DVDs, almost every outdoor frames show off the big advantages of Superbit...
Just let him know that it is a National
Panasonic CQ-DV909U Car DVD Audio player...
Check if it is the unique way the car player detects the chesky disc, there are many other DVD Audio discs that shows 24/96 on the same player.
Just a clarification.
ALL DVD Audio discs are playable in any DVD Players, although you can hear the advanced Resolution tracks (which is way superior) only by using DVD Audio capable players.
Only hybrid versions of (and the normal redbook CD Tracks of) SACD however is playable in a CD...
I am a supporter of both DVD-Audio and SACD formats and I think they are both great...I have my own opinions of both formats but find statement like "1. Most engineers believe the Super Audio sound is better." puzzling...who ae they?, how many prefers SACD? I doubt anyone has surveyed the...
Yes, a very good sounding disc on casual listening.
I too noticed the more like a "oops" sounds (not vocal, more like electronics) repeatedly (very obvious when the nah nah nah nah chorus parts)occurring throughout the songs. It gets on your nerve once you noticed it.
something is wrong here...
