I've just started to upgrade my video sytem, I've picked up the HDA2 on Ebay for a good price. Had intended to purchase the Oppo 981 for it's superior upconversion capablities but decided to spend a few extra dollars on the Toshiba to get HD quality as well. I'm also planning to purchase a Sony...
If you haven't looked at AVS Forum yet, you should check out their Plasma forum. Lots of happy Panny 7UY owners there, including myself: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forum...?s=&forumid=40
Seeing you have a HTIB already, I would get the 42PWD7UY. You won't need built in speakers that the consumer model has, and the VCR will be your tuner. And you already know you can get a stand on Ebay. I also prefer the black bezel rather than the silver(consumer model). The 7UY has 3 inputs...
I couldn't wait for the boxset to be released in Canada. Ordered it from Barnes & Noble for $48 plus shipping, received it a couple of days ago, left at my front door. When ordering, there was mention that the GST is payable, but wasn't calculated in the checkout. Not sure if I'll get a separate...
Received mine in the mail, CAN$34.99 shipped. Had the same situation when I put disk one in, it had the Soapy episode rather than the pilot on side one. Otherwise, this disk looks great to me. I know what I'll be doing during the Victoria Day long weekend.
I was surprised when I received my boxset in the mail today, ordered it a couple of weeks ago. Shipped from Quebec, no french titles on the box, assume it's the same as the US version. I was planning to let my wife give this to me for Christmas, but now I'm tempted to open it!
I'm getting all my PV'ed discs at Rogers Video, as I get an additional 10% off. I don't bother buying any of the new dvd's that I know are selling in high volumes, there are always lots of rental copies that eventually will be sold off. I've only had one dvd that was defective, and it was...
I have Paradigm reference model 60's hooked up to my 39TX.
I have the speakers setup in a separate room from the receiver (speaker "B" setting), as the Paradigms are used strictly for music. Have no problems with this setup.

Hi Ron,
I picked up a new Pioneer PDV-LC20 on Ebay for $440US about a month ago. A great 7" screen picture, anamorphic is best of course. I had considered the LC10 but the battery pack is bulky on that unit. The LC20 is much thinner (about 1")with the battery attached, and only 2 lbs...
