Well, there are a lot of choices
For music, I like Legends of Jazz
As far as movies, I like to demo the following...
- Gravity (debris)
- Avatar (visuals and audio, entire film really)
- House of Flying Daggers (drum dance)
- Speed Racer (even though it was not hd audio)
- Master and...
(chuckling as I read this thread)
I have been collecting since dvd first came out. I tend to clear my collection out a little about 3 times a year so even after all this time, I still have below 600 titles but I probably have bought between 2000-3000 over the years. I am into re-watchability so...
Paradigm Monitor SUB 12. It is located at the front right side of the room. This sub boasts a low frequency extension of 16Hz, in a sealed design, with an ultra quick bass response. I have it optimized with Paradigm's Perfect Bass Kit which analyzes the subwoofer’s response in the room and then...

The screen that I have recently installed is a Screen Innovations, Black Diamond 106" 16x9 screen with a gain of 1.4. "Black Diamond™ is the only screen material available that absorbs all of the unwanted ambient light in a room, making it a highly versatile screen solution for a wide...
I believe my copy said English 5.1 and gave no indication as to what the true soundtrack was. As I send the info to my receiver as pcm, I have no way of identifying what the audio type is.
I have the same issue in my setup but I have been too busy to sit down and figure it out. My receiver does not decode dtsHD MLA internally but my player, the Panasonic dmp-bd50 can decode internally or it can bitstream so in my setup, I let the panny decode the dtsHD and send it out as a...
I remember watching this the first time around last year and giving it a 7/10 in my mind. I watched it again last week and rated it a solid 9/10. Great a/v too.
I have seen this twice since I picked it up, and yes, the PQ is great particularly the landscapes, the chain link armor and vibrant colours. Liked the film better on second viewing too. Thanks for the review.
I enjoyed the total package and like all 3 films each in their own way. A real keeper for me. I hope they do LOTR in the same manner when it comes out. Thanks for the review
