Blade Runner on VHS - paid like $100 at the time since there wasn't really a retail market back in the day.
It was also one of the first titles I purchased when DVD was launched...
Hey, Mike!
The Frankenstein coming out this week is the Paul Morrissey "Flesh for Frankenstein" with Udo Kier - a curiosity in and of itself, especially in 3D!
The Branagh "Mary Shelly's Frankenstein" from Arrow comes out on April 12.
Thanks!
Hi Robert!
Been a while since the "meets" and events at the Beverly Garland- good times
Things are good for me - hope you're staying well and sane!
22 years? Yikes! And a few HTF meets later... ;)
Still the BEST HT place on the internet!
You're my most consistent stop here, Mike - grateful for all you do!
Stay well :)
Thanks as always, Mike!
I just noticed that the Amazon link for the 4K Cinema Paradiso goes to the product page for:
Versus + Ultimate Versus (2-Disc Special Edition) [Blu-ray]
Actually looks like a good movie!
Thanks for the roundup, Mike!
I noticed that the link in the BR section for the Peanuts collection takes you to The Spirit of Christmas DVD on the Amazon - the links for both are correct in the DVD section. The BR link is...
On that note, the Amazon link for Convergence in blu-ray is just text without taking you to Amazon.
Thanks for the Roundup, Mike! Like the new format - although not seeing the post in line with the thread will take some getting used to...
As always, thanks for all your work Mike!
The link for the Hobbit Trilogy 3D goes to a Limited Edition set, which seems to be the theatrical versions - not extended.
The extended 3D trilogy seems to be here:

Like many here, Steve's DVD Resource page was huge for HT back in the day. As DVD was emerging in competition with DiVX, Steve's page was enlightening. If I remember correctly, he was more than just a sponsor of Netflix - seem to remember he was somehow instrumental to its creation. The...
Same problem on a Mac with Safari - although if I select to open the image in another window/tab, they are available - just not appearing on the forum page
I still have a couple of D-VHS machines around - and a full collection of tapes...
It was a nice transition before BR/HD-DVD - and full bit-rate audio.
Although i enjoy the nostalgic sound of my LP's and turntable, I feel very little nostalgia towards VHS ;)
Like the thumbnails in the grid. :tu: But it appears that only the listings with thumbnails have links to Amazon. Previously, all the listings had active Amazon links. Thanks for the RoundUp!!!
First, realize that if you go the component/digital route, you are not getting the hi-res audio from BD since this requires HDMI or 7.1 outputs from your source to the SR7004. Secondly, I purchased a SR7005 a couple of months ago and never could get the HDMI handshake issues resolved...
I've only been thru FOTR and find the video serviceable, but not in the class of the best. This is on a 110" DLP front PJ. Mostly noticeable in high content scenes, like battle sequences, where the definition of separate elements is lacking.
I'm not a technical guy, but I don't understand how...
See what happens when you insist on using a PC???
Have you imported the files into iTunes already? Once they are in iTunes, you should be able to sync to your ipod - although WAV format is somewhat large and it is best to convert to something more compressed if space on your ipod is limited...
Hey, Mike: That Amazon price on the CE release is the list price, since Amazon will reduce the price if it is less at time of release. So, I usually never worry about pre-orders with them since it usually winds up less. This time, since it is listed as NLA, who knows what they'll charge me - but...
Curious about Saw V and Amazon... I preordered the unrated CE and received notice that it has shipped. However, the item is now listed as "discontinued by manufacturer" on their website. So, maybe they are sold out of their allocation and no longer offering it for sale.
I have a Samsung LED/DLP (HLS-5679W) that is available for FREE if you come to get it. This is Samsung's first generation model and has had problems with capacitors on the power board that burn out, as detailed in this thread: Samsung HLS-5679W LED DLP Owners Thread (*NO PRICE TALK) - AVS...
Ron understates how we were all blown away with this presentation  Although mostly a "proof of concept" demonstration, the clarity, realism, and vividness of the material was breathtaking - my particular favorite being the brilliance of the Beijing Olympics opening ceremonies...
A follow-up... Despite monthly subscription payments thru PayPal - and many promises to get on track from Gordon - I only received one shipment for this service (and it was a haphazardly thrown together hodgepodge of items surely sent to appease my requests for fulfillment of my payments!)...
