I still have a couple of D-VHS machines around - and a full collection of tapes... It was a nice transition before BR/HD-DVD - and full bit-rate audio. Although i enjoy the nostalgic sound of my LP's and turntable, I feel very little nostalgia towards VHS ;)

First, realize that if you go the component/digital route, you are not getting the hi-res audio from BD since this requires HDMI or 7.1 outputs from your source to the SR7004. Secondly, I purchased a SR7005 a couple of months ago and never could get the HDMI handshake issues resolved...

See what happens when you insist on using a PC??? Have you imported the files into iTunes already? Once they are in iTunes, you should be able to sync to your ipod - although WAV format is somewhat large and it is best to convert to something more compressed if space on your ipod is limited...

Curious about Saw V and Amazon... I preordered the unrated CE and received notice that it has shipped. However, the item is now listed as "discontinued by manufacturer" on their website. So, maybe they are sold out of their allocation and no longer offering it for sale.

A follow-up... Despite monthly subscription payments thru PayPal - and many promises to get on track from Gordon - I only received one shipment for this service (and it was a haphazardly thrown together hodgepodge of items surely sent to appease my requests for fulfillment of my payments!)...
