Oh, I still shoot film from time to time, but I got rid of my Bronica ETRS when I bought my D70. I did keep my Yashica-Mat though. I found the cost of shooting medium format film, developing it, getting it scanned in, etc. was too much for someone who was primarily at the time "Semi-pro"...
Reviving a really OLD topic... for those interested these days the D70/D70s would be the digital camera I would recommend going with. Complete manual control of the camera is possible, and the camera is quite advanced, even comparing to some of the features on the higher end Nikon cameras...
Umm, I don't know if any one saw Christmas Invasion like us Canadians and Brits, but if you thought that seeing the Doctor KISS a companion was shocking (see The 8th Doctor Peter McGann who IS cannon). There are parts of Invasion that will blow you away. The doctor actually engages in...
David Rosen - you are right, I totaly missed
Cordilia - WHY!!!!!
Her last episode was just SO well done... I loved seeing her, and then that last scene between her and Angel.
Cordilia: "oh hell... one for the road"
*crosses room kisses Angel passionately*
*phone rings*
Angel...
Dear god..... what a film, a couple of rough spots... Zoe's talking to Mal about the hanger on he shot, seemed a little forced to me.
If Joss comes up here for a convention.. he and I will have a talking too... keeps killing characters I have grown emotionally attached to.
*SPOILER...
Oh, the thread is back from some hell dimension, I take it? Picked up the soundtrack a couple of weeks back. disapointed with the theme re-mix. Not my favourite, but I was impress with how the music took me back to the last season so quickly, even though I have not watched the discs in a few...
Ok, first post on HTF in AGES, and its to comment that Profilers site seems to be down. I know that they are doing some pretty radical changes to the back end again, to be implemented in 2.3.2. Did anyone catch any posts about a planned outage? If not, I am now taking bets on how long it is...
It would have been nice seeing at least ONE of the apocalypse(s) that kept happening be tied together between the two shows. Now, I totaly understand that they were separate shows, but they were intimately connected (pardon the expresion), if distant. The writers all should have gotten...
Must be nice Bob_chase! My normal brick and mortar "did not have it in". Mind you, the owners and daughters were off this weekend, and the newbie was manning the till. He may just be yanking my chain, or just does not know me yet :frowning: So today, I called ahead, and he tells me it is in...
Here in Ontario we have a "debt recovery fee" that the Hydro utility has tacked onto the bills. Why? Because when they were a part of the government (rather then a wholly owned crown corporation they are now) they racked up huge debts trying to get some nukes back on line, and by subsidizing the...
I really don't know what the stated ambiguity regarding the ending of Quantum Leap is. As I recall, Sam was given the choice to either return to his time frame, or to continue leaping and fixing problems. There was some indication that he wasn't the only leaper (maybe his daughter, if the new...
I am posting this on the off chance that the intervocative crew still visits HTF. I had to reimage my system, and silly me, I forgot to back up my Profiler Key. To top it all off, I seem to have forgotten my password to log into the Profiler website (which has changed radically). I sent...
Oh good god, as if Alyssa and Rose were not reason enough to suffer though the occasional episode of Charmed... They land Charisma on the show as well. I at least will have one up on Angel then. An hour of that show can feel like centuries in hell :) I for one would welcome an animated...
Hell, I for one would be mildly interested in seeing "the other side's" view. To counter all the bitching about "I hate the canadian version of x, y or z channel" I LOVE parts of the new G4techtv Canada. Call for Help 2.0!!!! I just can't wait until the Canadian channel starts syndicating it...
After first realizing how old James really is (as opposed to how old Spike appears) I thought to myself, damn, they have actually employed a vamp.... LOL Seriously, I suspect that even if they did hold off a few years before a reunion show, JM would be the least of our worries. Now...
Hey, thanks guys. Will have to check out the greasy burger joint... although after having lost 66 pounds since Feb, I don't know how much time I should spend there. Was planning on checking out the new Air wing of the Smithsonian as well. I just HAVE to have pictures of the Enterprise...
Seth, the spy museum sounds cool, and I had planned on taking in the various memorials, including the WWII, Veitnam, and Arlington Cemetary. Hell, I think even the Cubs are doing better then the Jays this year, so maybe checking out the local team might be a good thing. Anyone know of good...
Ok, it looks like I will be down in Fairfax, Virginia for up to 4 months (out every other weekend) and was wondering what there is to do. Already planned on seeing the US Capital buildings, the Whitehouse, Arlington, Smithsonian Air & Space...
My grip is still the signal-to-noise ratio that DVD Profiler has these days. It has gotten to the point that I am activley seeking a replacement, but as has been stated in the past, the competition is lacking. It would be nice to have a cross-platform chice, running under OSX, X windows, and...
Nothing.... If I never have to eat/drink an other meal-in-a-can thing again, it will be too damn soon. I lived off the things for about two-three weeks after having my jaw busted. Damn, even McDonalds tasted good after that!
I was was disapointed that the rear defense guns were static, rather then a "real" set. Damn, it would be impressive if the thing dropped paint bombs, or Cherry bombs....
The engines are really jet turbines, just like a real B-52. I think I stumbled across the original posting ling @ slashdot the other day. YEp, here is the Slashdot article (gee, whould that be why the original site was hammered?) :) HERE is the jet engine site.
I would offer up the suggestion of the PT Cruiser. Fun truck, lots of stowage, TONNES of room in the rear seats, AWESOME collision protection. Comes in a variety of engine choices, from teh base 2.4L inline four, to a turbo "lite" version and a full out rip snorting 225+ HP GT. If not the...
