Mike, I received it. They came back on about 9:45. I think this was their first test run with an hd program. Unfortunatley the equipment did not work. Everytime they went to throw the switch the screen scrambled. But they did try, hopefully they will get this fixed for the Sunday night movie.

Not from my understanding. I was watching it also. I noticed twice when they tried to throw the switch that it failed. Looked like they had some equipment problems. Thats okay, they are on the right track. Hopefully they will have this all resolved by this weekend.

rca's dtc-100 does not require you to have a subscription to get OTA high def. Nice piece of equipment for the price. I think many forum members would agree with me.

Howard, sorry to tell you that as of right now neither Direct TV or Dishnetwork carry any local HD feeds. You can do a search on your question and you will get all kinds of answers. The only way to get local HD is with a OTA Antenna or if your local cable company has the ability to broadcast HD.

Seems to be back down. I was receieving a signal strength of 94 before but now the dreaded weak signal. It looked good while it was up, hopefully they are close to going truely live with the channel.

I dont know if they are just testing it this afternoon, but as of 3:00 the channel is on the air. Go check it out. Whohoo getting soap opera in dolby digital. LOL. Oh well, I hope this time it is up for good.
