I know people are dropping this show, but did anyone see it this weekend (May 9th). I finally laughed again at a Family Guy episode... and I laughed hard in some spots. It seemed different than Seth's normal MO, almost the opposite. But it worked for me. Brian vomiting for over 30 seconds...
I literally fell out of my seat when Ted and Gooch were singing together and she said "screw you" when Ted sang "kiss you". Their acting during that part was absolutely perfect. I haven't laughed that hard in years. I don't want this show to end. Ed Payne
What? No love for this past Sunday's episode? It was the first time I've laughed out loud all season. Even my wife liked it. :D To me, it felt like classic Family Guy. Thoughts? Ed
I finally get the opportunity to chime in. First off... "Thanks" to you guys for your weekly hard work. Second... season 1 of my favorite television series (Friday the 13th: The Series) is my purchase of the week. I've been eagerly waiting for this for years. I'm not sure why it took this long...
I just got my email from Amazon saying that it has shipped. I thought it would never happen and now it is almost in my hands. Come on 9/23/08. Ed Payne
TVShowsOnDVD has the back package artwork available for your viewing pleasure at this link Friday the 13th: The Series DVD news: Rear Box Art for Friday The 13th: The Series - The 1st Season | TVShowsOnDVD.com. It's getting closer to the release date. Ed
I like it much better than the original, too, but I'm not completely thrilled with it. I would have expected more visual references to the series like the vault as the background instead of some doorway. But, as always, I'm just unbelievably elated to have it finally coming to DVD.
Finally!!!! I know we probably won't get many extras (if any), but I'm thankful to finally have my favorite show on its way to DVD. I'm a bit concerned that it's a 3 disc set (according to Amazon) but there were 26 hour long episodes. That's a lot to fit on 3 discs. Whatever... September 23...
How about this for movie disruption... I'm concentrating on the movie when I hear wretching sounds behind me then the dreaded splat on the floor. Soon after that the smell overwhelmed me. They never stopped the movie. All I can say is thank God that the seats had material higher than my...
I, too, can't believe it's not on DVD. Something tells me there is a big issue that we don't know about. Sheesh, Another conteporary to F13:TS was "War of the Worlds: The Series" and it is on DVD. Maybe the new "Chiller" channel on DirecTV will help. Bring it on Paramount!!! Ed
In my area (Atlanta, GA) is was bleeped out... although I could read his lips and figure out what he was saying. ;^) Due to a personal skating incident almost 30 years ago, I almost fell off the couch when Cleveland told Peter to use the rubber stoppers on the front of his skates...
If it happens, they better bring on the Friday the 13th: The Series. It was more popular and... I liked it more. :D I did like WotW, too. The second season introduced Adrian Paul (Highlander) and the vibe changed. I kinda lost interest then. But then again, I was finishing my Master's Thesis and...
How can you tell which version it is? The original thread got so long that I'm not sure if I missed any information. There is a Fry's three miles from where I work. If they are the correct version, I could probably spring for another $20 after Christmas. :D Ed Payne
I can't tell you how many people actually get mad at me when they come to my Friday the 13th: The Series web site. I can guarantee there will be returns due to that problem. I guess that most people don't realize that the two shows had the same executive producer. Isn't that a good enough...
Bring on Friday the 13th: The Series. One of the few shows I would buy the season sets for whatever price they wanted. I keep a pretty close eye on all things F13. Add my web site to your bookmarks and check back periodically. I'll announce it there as soon as I get word. Although, I'll probably...
I can't even begin to tell you how many emails from my website I get asking why the show has nothing to do with the movies. Some people are downright nasty about it. It is nothing more than the executive producer wanting to capitalize on the popularity of his movies. If I remember correctly, the...
I've been dying to see these shows again. I haven't seen an episode since the SciFi channel stopped airing them. I heard rumors of a horror channel picking up the series. The series would definitely be more at home on that channel. For whatever reason, SciFi thought we were all up at two in the...
It was reported about a month or so ago that Paramount was considering releasing them. Check out my web site: http://www.hwmusic.com/f13 for a bit more info. I get so many requests for the series on DVD that if you made it known that you had all 72 on DVD you might have to get a new email...
I wish they still ran episodes on SciFi. That channel makes some of the most boneheaded decisions I've ever seen: Cancelling Farscape, witholding the last 3 episodes of Roar, and of course not showing Friday the 13th: The Series anymore. I hear that there is an all horror channel in the works...
The name was originally "Friday's Curse". It was changed to capitalize on the fans of the movies. The thought was that they might like what they see. I liked the distinctiveness of Friday's Curse. Maybe some of the special features of the discs can be answers to questions like that. ;) Ed...
