I just saw the De Palma documentary and his take on this film is that it isn't as bad as people make it out to be (but if you read the book, you'd hate it). He said his biggest mistake was making the Tom Hanks character somewhat likable...
I was just able to order two phones in two separate orders through the Apple site after spending almost an entire day trying to get it done. I finally just opened up 4 windows in Safari and had them all working at the same time until one eventually got through. Once the first order got...
If anyone has picked this up yet, can you let me know if the kit is easily transferrable between vehicles? I travel every week and I'm definitely interested in this if I can use it in rental cars for a few days at a time.
Well, I went to the Apple store at 7:00 and there were a few hundred people in line. I waited for around 30 minutes and the line didn't move, so I left and went around the corner to the AT&T store where there were 10 people waiting and I was in and out in 25 minutes.
I stopped by the store I had already made a reservation with and they told me that they are putting aside the phones that have been reserved and that they should have plenty of stock. They also told me that they'd be opening early and that they are expecting lines (in Atlanta)...
I was at the LA premiere last night and I'll echo what everyone else has said about the film - one of the best superhero movies ever made. The casting was perfect (especially Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard) and I thought they got the tone of the charatcter down perfectly. The stars were...
Drag the video_ts folder to Toast Video_ts folder screen. Then just click the Green button and it should burn without a hitch. This is how I make all of my DVDs
I've also had a RL for the past 3 years and I regularly rent a CTS when I travel. I do enjoy driving the CTS quite a bit, but I honestly think that the nav/audio system is not nearly as good as the Acura system. I've become so fond of the systems in the Acura (we've had them in a TL, RL, and...
I have an 04 Acura TL and when I got the windows tinted, the door panels needed to be removed to install moleskin on each window. If the moleskin is not used, the tint will scratch (from the windows going up and down). there are a number of cars that require this step (Mercedes is another). A...
I have a Toshiba RD-XS32 and a Powerbook and I've been using the Prodisk brand for a the last couple of months. Supermediastore.com sells them (I got them for around .35/disc). They have a compatability chart on their site, but I've burned 25-30 of these DVDs and never had one fail.
We just got a 2004 last month and it's great. It does cost a lot to fill up the tank, but other than that, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it.
I've been using one of the slimp3 products for almost a year and it's pretty cool. It works great and I believe their new models come with wireless built in (I had to buy the wireless adaptor separately). It took about 5 minutes to set up and has completely replaced the 300 CD changer that...
A couple of years ago, I got together with a few Home Theater Forum members and we bought some actual used theater seats. I ended up with 10-15 of them and they have sat in my basement since I got them. I need the storage space, so I'm offerring them to the first Forum member(s) that wants to...
Does anyone remember the Reel.com "Chewbacca" coupon that could be used multiple times? I believe it was $20 off a purchase of at least $20. I think it was one of their first coupons and they changes them to one time only after that.
I'm not sure if I'll keep my subscription, but I do know it was pretty gutless of them to shut down their message board after they announced the change.
I've seen a lot of these bands multiple times (I had to really think about this...) Bruce Springsteen Kinks Graham Parker Violent Femmed Ramones Blondie Tom Tom Club Lemmonheads Buffalo Tom Sex Pistols Erasure English Beat Big Country Thompson Twins Paul Young Nik Kershaw...
I saw them a couple of times when they first got back together (6-7 years ago). As said above, great sounding show, and it was great to hear all the old songs (they had no new music at the time), but there's not a lot going on in the show.
I've been using Slimp3 for a few months and I think it's great. the sound quality is good and the device that displays the song/artist information is cool. It displays all my playlists and is very easy to use. I bought it before the TiVo option was made available, but I'm happy with the...
I don't have tinted windows. When I originally bought XM (from Best Buy), they refuesed to mount it on the rear shelf. I went to HiFi Buys (Tweeter) and they were more than happy to mount it for me. It works great and you really can't notice it.
I never thought I would pay these crazy prices, but my wife really wanted to see Fleetwood Mac and last week I was ably to get 10th row floor (at $130/ticket). The show was good and my Wife wasn't sorry we spent the money. I saw them in 1982 for $15.
A close friend of mine is also in Iraq and he has asked for us to send him baby wipes. Apparently they go for days without showering and the baby wipes help. He also asked for cans of tuna. Hope that helps.
