I have to agree on almost every point. This is one of those shows that really surprised me last year. As a fan of Nathan Fillion, I expected to like it, but it's just such a good show all-around. The tone is just perfect, and (I'd imagine) hard to pull off correctly. Castle (the character)...
I'm not too sure about 1 or 2. I'll admit that this week's episode was a snooze-fest. Clip shows pretty much always are though. 3 is right on the money :) (and she's still pretty smoking hot now!)
I don't know if the actual events of this episode should have necessarily been spread out over a bigger arc, but with the build-up during the past couple episodes (of the breaches/power surges/etc ....) I kind of expected there to be a bigger payoff. I guess it remains to be seen if Claudia...
I can't offer any "user report" information yet, but I just went through the same decision process (except mine included the Oppo BD-83 in addition to the 2 players in this thread). Ultimately, I ended up going with the LG390 (which should be in my hands tomorrow). I really wanted to move up...
I liked 30 Rock in it's first season, but frankly I don't think it comes close to living up to the hype that it gets in the industry these days. To be honest, I'm kind of sick of it.
The real shocker for me is "The Shield' getting shut out in their final season. I thought they might finally...
Despite the obvious similarities with "House" I did enjoy the pilot quite a bit. I do like both the leads (Chris Vance was probably the best part of a lousy 3rd season of Prison Break - and Jacqueline Mackenzie was always enjoyable on The 4400). I don't know if this just an attempt to burn off...
Am I the only one holding out hope that with The Sarah Connor Chronicles cancellation, but the Dollhouse renewal, maybe Summer Glau could show up as a doll in season 2 (hopefully at least in a guest spot, but maybe as a regular as well??) They could even give her a personality that makes her...
I didn't really expect to like it all that much either (my wife wanted to watch, so I figured I'd be the good husband and watch with her ...) Anyway, I ended up really enjoying it. As a child of the '80's, I've always loved Journey -and that arrangement of "Don't Stop Believin'" at the end was a...
I'm not too surprised by the (apparent) revelation that they aren't actually brothers biologically. I've seen every episode of this show, and I'm still not entirely sure how they were supposed to be related. They had the same father, correct?? (since they were both with him when he was killed a...
Well, I read the spoiler (and surprisingly hadn't seen it mentioned in EW ...) and wasn't all that surprised. In fact, I've been thinking along those same lines myself (especially with some of the events of the past hour .....)
I find that I'm really enjoying this series quite a bit. I initially started watching because I was a fan of Nathan Fillion, but the whole show just kind of clicks for me. Hope it makes it to a 2nd season!
As much as I like Allison (and she's my pick to win in the HTF Idol challenge!), I didn't get the judge's reaction to her performance last night. I thought it was very odd and just not very consistent, but both Paula and Simon seemed to think it was fantastic. On the other hand, I had been...
OK ... I've read pretty much every posting in this thread ... (I'm generally a lurker more than a poster). Like a lot of you, I loved the season/series finale and what it could mean for future storylines. This is real wishful thinking, but ..... here's an off-the-wall idea.... If the show were...
I love this show, and the episode was definitely intense, but in the back of my mind all I could think of was that it was "National Lampoon's Vacation" on acid. (they even used Miriam Flynn as one of the distant relatives for Margene's character!) Still ... some important revelations ...
Kelli was on "The Practice" for pretty much that entire show's run. She was also on "Medical Investigation" (along with Neal McDonough) a couple of years ago .... it only lasted one season, but I thought it was an overlooked show. Kind of like "House" but on a national level (they worked for the...
Sam (a.k.a. the new Jim) is played by Kenneth Mitchell - who was a regular on "Jericho". (He played Eric, the brother of Skeet Ulrich's character.) He had a beard for most of the series, so he does look a little different on Ghost Whisperer.
Actually, he's growing on me too. I guess they figured they had to include a new character that had some sort of ghost "communication" abilities since they knew Melinda's character would be tied up trying to make Jim remember that he's Jim for most of the season ..... And the actress was...
Yes ... the circumstances have become increasingly ridiculous, but for some reason I still find the show to be immensely entertaining. I don't know if it's because I've been watching from the start and I'm just invested in the characters or that it's just that they do a pretty good job of...
I agree completely ... keep Deanna Russo and Smith Cho .... hell, they can get rid of KITT and just keep those two around! (well, OK, then it's an entirely different show, but probably something I'd still watch!)
Although I'm sure it'll be cancelled by Christmas, I have to say I do really kind of enjoy this show. It's just pure escapism (while they're obviously trying to build some sort of "mythology" - the whole issue of Mike's memory being altered/wiped/etc...) that doesn't take it self too seriously...
I always was a fan of this show, but -- Wow!!! That was definitely some way to kick-start the season. When I first saw the ads that showed a woman joining The Unit, I couldn't think of any logical way that it could ever happen. Given the circumstances of the premiere though, it does actually...
I hadn't read (or seen) any of the potential spoilers leading up to this episode, and I have to say I was shocked! While I generally don't like "time loop" episodes (strangely, I love "time travel" stories, but generally not "time loop" stories .... but I digress), I really enjoyed the way they...
