Got home today, my brother was playing ps4 on my projector. I was in the room when he went to turn it off. He turned the receiver off and a static image came up on the projector, like this:

When we tried to turn the projector off, we couldn't. It...
Ah, I see now. I think I saw the option to change the scale in my receiver earlier, I'll probably change because now that I think about it that makes more sense that way.
Thanks to both of you for the tips.
I re-ran setup using a tripod 100% of the time and the distances seem to be right, and it set the following as my dB level for the speakers:
Front L: -8.5dB
Front R: -9.0dB
Center: -9.0dB
Subwoofer: -9.5dB
Surround L: -6.5dB
Surround R: -5.5dB
For now I...
So when you say put the main at 40 for crossover, and leave the rest at 80, which setting/speaker do you mean by main?
For the Mic for the tests some the position to place the mic was next to a chair and some of the tests the position was right where a chair was. When the position was next to a...
I have the following:
Front Speakers: Klipsch RF-62ii
Center : Klipsch RC-62ii
Side Surrounds: Klipsch RB-61ii
Sub: Outlaw Ultra X-12
Receiver: DENON AVR-X1100W
So, I ran Audyssey, but it just didn't seem right. The distances looked good, but it set all the speakers to really low -dB, to the...
I wasn't sure if it was actually possible to mount it to the ceiling without a drop tube, but if you can attach it simply to the ceiling using the mount I have then I guess I wouldn't need one.
As for the placement range, I know there is a sweet spot for distance and screen size, where you kind...
I have a Sony HW40ES and Carada 110" screen that I would like to set up next week. Problem is, I don't have my actual theater seating yet. I ended up buying a whole new set of speakers, sub-woofer, and receiver on black Friday, so I will be using some chairs we already have until early next year...
Just an update. After a lot of back and forth I went with a Denon x1100w from accessories4less. With a three year warranty total came to $365.More than I planned on spending but it had all the features I need now and some I may want in the future, so it was worth it in my mind. The denon x2000...
Alright, I'm just gonna try to find a Denon for around $250 I guess. Is Audyssey Bronze(the lower one) still good enough, to the point where I don't need to spend more to get a receiver with the better version?
Interesting...So since all the atmos receivers have 4k but not true hdmi 2.0 you aren't gonna buy one until there is a chip out there that is correct. Hmmm sounds like a good idea to wait.
Alright, thanks for the advice!
Also, what is your opinion on Atmos? I'm thinking wait it out, seems too much in its infancy especially as far as content/Blu-Rays.
Heh...I had to google it lol.
So pretty much this:
If I decide I don't need a receiver with atmos, and my priority is gaming and movies with little music, I should aim to get a receiver with 7.1(.2 doesn't matter because it's just an internal Y splitter/marketing BS), and with Audyssey. Onkyo...
I've heard some people say that the lack of Audyssey made them opt for Denon or another brand over Onkyo. Is Audyssey really that much better vs the other equivelants?
So I will for sure try to get one with 7.1 then. And just so I understand this part correctly: A receiver that is 7.1 used with...
