Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Glad you mentioned the Our Miss Brooks episode that MeTv aired. I had never seen the show before. It looked really fantastic.

    That's hilarious!

I think you're right about Fred. Probably easier to colorize, since he was an old guy; much less focus on the color of his hair, outfits, etc. Sometimes less is more.

More Colorized I Love Lucy on CBS on May 17, 2015

I think the candy conveyor belt episode far surpasses this one, including Lucy being funnier in that sequence.

"Lucy Does A TV Commercial". Very predictable, and the drunken dance with Ricky was not funny, at all.

I expect they will. Although, after watching the latest one, I can't say it's a "best". Pretty terrible, actually.

I like the colorized stuff when it's done well. Lucy's hair is a weird pinkish orange though. Other than that, these are pretty good.

Mill Creek to Re-release Sony TV Shows on DVD

I can't imagine something with the poor video quality of Sanford and Son getting a blu-ray release. Expectations for blu are too high to do that.

Can't say I blame them. If you knew a release would be available indefinitely, how quickly would you buy it?

Disney did this deliberately to create demand immediately upon release. Every one sold out quickly. There's your answer.

I Dream of Jeannie copyright years

Without a doubt, the Mill Creek releases are the exact same masters.

I'm certain that both shows got the same treatment. Which is funny because at the time of the release, there was hot debate online that you couldn't make the colorized version look like the original black and white. Yet that's exactly what Sony did.

The "CPT Holdings" appears on both the color and black and white sets. CPT stands for Columbia Pictures Television. The exact same masters were used; the black and white just has the color turned off.
