I ended up going with a Denon 3313 CI. I found a deal that I couldn't pass up at the local Best Buy. $700. Has preouts, direction audio, all the stuff I was looking for.
First impression:
WOW. I was not expecting that level of output from my speakers which are Klipsch RF 82s ii. Only running...
i thought the marantz sr5008 has pure audio. Or is it just direct audio? I think that will be good enough...It also has preouts. I think this is the AV that I will be going for.
I think my decision may come down based off the answer to this question.
What amps out there has PURE AUDIO and is THX PLUS 2 certified and is around $1000 or less (if any) but the next cheapest?
Yeah...I was looking for something like this. somebody to differentiate out the features and pains of each receiver. Anyone else, please feel free to add!
This will be a hard decision. I ran a active setup in my car audio, not passive. Allowed for more adjustability, which I want. So the...
I didn't say you were being rude. I said "I don't mean to be rude". lol...
Thanks for answering the question about the Class D amps. I guess the same rule applies from car audio. I used AB amps as well.
This is appreciated.
I am trying to narrow down my choices - not expand them. Do any of the choices I mentioned not have separate crossovers? If not, that wasn't mentioned. Then maybe i should consider the Yamaha.
Don't mean to be rude but can we focus on the original post? Can someone comment on the Class D amp sounding "different" or lacking in go when we get serious in our listening? And do any of the receivers mentioned or suggested have separate crossovers for front, rear, sub, etc?
I would like to have straight 3D support, so I guess this is ruled out.
The NR5007 was awesome, until it crapped out, then got fixed, now having problems with it again. It was my parents, and I don't live there anymore. It was a sweet upgrade from the I believe Onkyo 807 that they had. Only...
Ok...now it sounds like I'm getting somewhere. So the klipsch say they are 8 ohm but really there not? Or they vary? So I need an avr that will be more reliable when we get to
Considering I had two onkyos fail on me, what makes you think I will go with them again? Lol.. I cannot trade the nr5007 as I am not the true owner of it. That's why it wasn't mentioned in the original post.....but everything that was relevant to me was.....So are you telling me i should get an...
I don't want an onkyo. Ive had problems with two onkyos, one being the nr5007 where the price for repair was as much as a well budget receiver. That's why it wasn't mentioned in the first place. And, now knowing that integra is related to onkyo, I probably won't be going with them. How do my...
Hi guys,First off, apologize for yet another "which receiver should i choose" post. But I want to get my home theater experience started on the right foot.My receiver will be powering Klipsch 82 ii floor standing speakers, and eventually the matching surround counterparts.I am mainly looking for...
