I have Fox’s Italian release of CtB Blu-ray, which is uncut and with all the corrected music cues. It was said at the time this was the only correct release. Sounds great.
War And Peace (Bondarchuk)

I’m sure others will come to mind.
In my youth I remember being quite impressed with some of the action in the Steve Reeves peplum ‘ The Trojan Horse’ but haven’t seen this for many decades .
I originally saw TGSET during it‘s UK premiere run at the London Casino Cinerama. An excellent presentation with superb image and sound. Whilst not the most commercial of the ‘60s Roadshow Epics, it does deserve to be restored to it’s former glory.
The sniper sequence was filmed at the old disused gas works at Beckton, East London. Suitable vegetataion and trees etc were imported and planted to give the Vietnam effect. I believe the training sequences were filmed in Cambridgeshire (but stand to be corrected).
Mr Kubrick didn't like flying.
I don't think there would be too many dissenting voices if Duncan was persuaded to run the three panel HTWWW again this year. It's been many years since a film presentation has got to me like last year's showing. A brilliant original print and a superb presentation.
I remember seeing this at the London Casino Cinerama, showing just prior to The Hallelujah Trail or Khartoum (I can't remember which). The continuous tracking shot of the pipeline was highly effective on the giant curved screen.
