FWIW, I appreciate that you posted the info about the screening. I wouldn't have known about it. So thanks for that. I have never seen Funny Lady on the big screen so I am looking forward to it - and it has been a long time since I have seen FG on the big screen. The Egyptian is a nice venue.

Frankly, I think that your statement about the overture is a bit heavy-handed. I am "on board" with this release, and in fact purchased five copies of the blu-ray, for myself and friends. In other words, Sony has my money. They also have my money for the DVD and, whoever owned it at the time...

Beautiful Blu-ray. Just have to give a little love to the Lee's reprise. Stagey, maybe a little, but I have always found it to be a charming moment and I am thrilled it's back.

I ordered it, too. I loved the Papermill production that was on PBS many years ago.

IMO, MTM looks good on DVD, and far better than The Bob Newhart Show. I also think MTM on DVD looks better than the syndicated version.

I have found that if you toast a garlic clove (in its paper) in a dry skillet just until the paper starts to color slightly, it still has that fresh garlic taste but it tames the harshness. Nice for salad dressings or other raw applications.
