We should lobby TCM and ask for a Saturday afternoon double feature of Sword and Sandal films and follow up with a double feature of Horror/SciFi films. It would be a phenomenal Saturdays on TCM !
Was anyone else considered for Emile in the film version ? Do not see why they went with Brazzi and Gaynor, neither have any chemistry ? Wonder why Yul Brynner wasn't considered ? I do not understand what Gaynor's appeal was for the role of Nellie ? I never knew Elizabeth Taylor was...

No question Doris would have been incredible as Nellie Forbush. Brazzi is OK as Emile, but could they have gotten someone that could sing ?? I always thought Doris would have been incredible in "King And I" as well as "Oklahoma" what a missed opportunity ? Also, Debbie Reynolds would have...
Unfortunate that she never won an OSCAR,or nominated, so many incredible performances from "Calamity Jane", "TMWKTM", "Pillow Talk" (nominated), "Midnight Lace", "Move Over Darling", "Julie", "Love Me Or Leave Me", "Storm Warning" "Jumbo" to name a few.
