- dbx 3BX Series II dynamic range expander (reduces background noise on TV programming).
- Archer (Radio Shack) FM amplifier (to boost radio signals from FM antenna).
- Radio Shack #VU-160XR TV antenna (dedicated to two of the VCRs - gives a much better picture for broadcast programming than the CATV service we have).
- Radio Shack #15-2164 FM antenna
- Radio Shack #11925 6 in 1 IR/RF Remote Controller (allows VCRs to be operated from bedroom, as well as basic HT system functions to be operated from non line-of-site locations like kitchen and dining room).

Speakers

- LRS Model QT-2 (custom-made speakers for center, rear, front effects; timbre matched for Genesis mains).

Retired Components (taking up too much closet space!)
- Pioneer CT-S709 3-head cassette deck.
- Technics SL-3200 turntable with Shure V15 Type V-MR cartridge.

Furniture
- Great Oak American 3-piece entertainment center.

Cabling/Interconnects
- Custom cabling featuring 3 audio "snakes," which I made from Mogami 8-channel cable using Switchcraft and Dayton Super RCA plugs.
- Additional interconnects made from Mogami and Canare cable stock, using Radio Shack Gold and Dayton Super RCA's (soldered a total of 96 RCA's!).
- A few Radio Shack Gold A/V cables are used.
- All cable ends labeled on white 3M heat shrink or white 3M electrical tape.

Additional Cabling
- Ran tape monitor sends from Yamaha DSP-A3090 to bedroom, allowing any selected source to also be heard in there. Also ran video and audio lines from two of the VCRs to a television in the master bedroom. Lines may be used for future stand-alone bedroom theater system.
- Ran audio lines to separate system in the garage (for music playback purposes).

Electrical
- Two 15 amp dedicated isolated ground circuits, which I installed.

Other Relevant Enhancements
- Installed 4" exhaust fans in each section of the entertainment center. Each has a thermostatic switch and variable speed control.
- Installed recessed lighting in dining room and kitchen (which are behind HT seating area), to minimize glare and reflections on TV screen.
