Using Multiple Speakers For Each Surround Channel Like The Theaters No Need For 4 Surround Channel

Even the [[SDDS]] theaters only use TWO surround channel. No theaters use 4. Why is it then that to be THX rated a Home Theater system needs 4 rear channels? I use a low-end HTIB and amplifiy each channel. Videos coming soon. MY HT is set up in my barn. It's crazy but it works. I already have videos and pictures of old setups on flickr and youtube. Every movie theater just jimmies speakers out of the TWO surround channels they have.
